Are you the one making the Thanksgiving stuffing? I am making the dinner this year. Every time it is my turn to host Thanksgiving dinner, I have to call my mom to find out how to make the stuffing. I called her again this week to get the recipe. It has been a while since she has cooked the dinner so she is having a harder time remembering the amounts (wait, she never really had amounts – she just did it!).
This is a fairly simple stuffing recipe but it is my favorite.
- 2 Sticks Butter
- 1 Onion (large)
- 3-4 Stalks Celery
- 2 Packages of bread cubes
- 1 teaspoon Sage
- 2 teaspoons Poultry seasoning
- Salt and Pepper
- 2 cups Chicken Broth
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Melt 2 sticks of butter in a frying pan.
Pour 2 packages of bread cubes into the butter/onion and celery mixture.
Sprinkle 1 tsp. of sage and 2 tsp. of poultry seasoning over the bread mixture.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Pour into a 9 x 13 pan, pour 2 cups of chicken broth over bread mixture and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
Any questions, just ask!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
