This wreath is perfect for Christmas and can easily be adapted for other holidays! I love the look of burlap and it fits perfectly with my preferred rustic style decor. I have seen a lot of posts on making a wreath with burlap ribbon and creating loops but something about it just looked too neat for me. So I decided to make my own version.
- Burlap cut into 2 x 4 in strips
- Wire wreath
- Hot glue gun
- Optional: ribbons, pine cones, flowers ect…
First gather up all of your supplies. I bought the wire wreath at Joann Fabric. They come in an array of sizes. I chose the largest one because I wanted it for a door. I also purchased the burlap from Joann’s. Burlap is super cool these days. There are so many different colors and patterns. Any one of these would make really cool and unique wreaths!
Cut your burlap into pieces; mine were 2″ x 4″
Next I grabbed and twisted the middle of my pieces.
And then glued it on to the wire wreath. Repeat this step until you get the fullness you want for your wreath.
You can add flowers, these flowers are made out of wood chips!
Or add garland pieces
I added ribbon and pine cones to mine! The pine cones have gold paint on the tips!
Thanks for visiting!!!!
